Certificate - Introduction To Close-Up Image Capture

I have chosen the Introduction to close-up image capture because having trained as a florist, I am really interested in close-up work.  This would be especially beneficial for my portfolio as I can then show the true beauty of the flowers that I use whether it be for funeral work or weddings.  I think that this is so important as without nice, clear pictures, in true colours, then how can you sell your work efficiently.  Hopefully, after completing this course, I can have the confidence to move forward onto levels 2 and 3.

I also enjoy taking close-up pictures of my 5 year old daughter Zinnia, who was named after a flower and also that my husband wanted a child with a name beginning with the letter Z.

I will be using my Nikon D90 camera for the following assignment.

Assignment 104 - Introduction to close-up image capture

I am required to produce a minimum of 6 images using close-up techniques by selecting the appropriate equipment, capturing the images and outputting for viewing.

Assignment 107 - Introduction of presenting photo images

Present a minimum of 6 images.  These images can be captured from a previous assignment.
Produce a written account for the images which will outline the method used to present the final images.  Also, outline a way in which the images could have been presented differently to the method originally used.

Assignment 108 - Digital image manipulation

Select and manipulate 4 images.  These must relate to each other and be displayed along with the unmodified images.  Also, a written account which must include modification of software used, image quality checks that were carried out, how the final images relate to the theme and any legal and ethical considerations.
